Lesson 10

This week we focus on two more passages from Hebrews:

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."  Hebrews 4:16

"let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water."  Hebrews 10:22

Hebrews emphasizes that we can now come near to God with confidence!  Our great high priest, Jesus, makes that possible.  Don't overlook the description of us "approaching" and "drawing near" to God.  How is that significant?  What obstacles might there be to hinder us from being able to approach God's throne?  What does it mean to have a "sincere" heart?

Continue your study and prayer this week.  We have much to be thankful for.

See you soon!

  1. 1 Corinthians 15:2-4 "By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
